Abstract:
In this workshop we will explore the why, who, where and how to engage the public
with science andtechnology.That is: what are you trying to achieve when you engage
with the public? Who is your audience – 5 year old children or politicians? Where is
the best venue to run activities, i.e., do you invite the public to visit you,or do you
go to them? What activities best engagea given audience? How do you attract your
audience? How do you know that your activity has been successful?
