Two Teacher Workshops Funded by Australia India Council: (a) 9-11 January 2012 and (b) 12-14 January 2012
Collaborative Approach to Develop Science Teaching Methods Suitable for Addressing Diversity in Classrooms
Each workshop will provide insights into research in socio-cultural diversity and professional development of science teachers. It will highlight students' contextual understanding, world-views, quantitative and visuospatial reasoning skills and social skills. These areas will be explored collaboratively through interaction between teachers and researchers. The workshop will include sessions on nature of science, five E's- models of teaching, inquiry based teaching strategies, investigating, discussion, questioning and assessment.
