The classical AI system is made up of two basic parts:
- A knowledge base
- Name of objects (things, people, places, events ... in
the chosen domain
- Concepts and theories about these objects
- Practical procedures and relationships representing
real-world knowledge
- An inference mechanism
- Procedures which examine the knowledge base in an
orderly manner
- Procedures are used to reason, answer questions, solve
problems & make decisions within the domain
